Generally, technologies can be described as Rapid Manufacturing in those cases, where the final product is finished without any additional user intervention between the CAD and Rapid Manufacturing system. This website presumes that the term Rapid Manufacturing, can be used, in a wider sense, to describe any technology that is capable of producing finished parts with as little user intervention as possible, and in the shortest possible time.
